The McKay Dee Ambulatory Surgical Center & Orthopedic Center is a new three-story, 80,950 sq ft facility to provide for the growing demands of the Ogden community. The scope included six OR’s, two therapy pools, an MRI room, a CT room, pre/post-op and recovery areas, and extensive physical therapy spaces. Sure Steel was contracted by Okland Construction to provide a turnkey, supply and erect scope for the structural steel on the three-story structure. This project utilized the proprietary Sideplate Moment frame system that helps keep the building weight down by shifting the forces to the column connections. Sure Steel worked over 8,000 man hours on this project without a lost-time incident, adding to the long list of projects that Sure Steel has without injuries.
