HCA – Sunrise Hospital Bed Tower Expansion

When the Sunrise Hospital Bed Tower Expansion was facing budget issues, Sure Steel worked with the project team to develop a design solution to help bring costs down, helping the owner to proceed with the project. Sure Steel, with the help of the contractor and the engineer, modified the design from a moment frame system to the SidePlate Bolted System. The new design lightened the overall weight of the building, reducing the amount of steel needed for the structure. The bolted system also reduced the amount of welding required for the moment frame connections, lowering the erection costs.

As a design-assist partner, Sure Steel brought years of experience to the table to help develop design solutions that created value for the overall project.
Working through the Las Vegas summer heat, our team safely completed the 1,700 ton, 183,000 square foot tower expansion through a collaborative effort, fulfilling our duties to the project team to provide value through the design-assist process.
