Sterilite Davenport Manufacturing & Distribution Facility

Sitting on a 160 acre site, this expansive facility in Davenport, Iowa is home to a new manufacturing and storage facility for Sterilite Corp., the largest manufacturer of plastic wares in North America. Sure Steel was contracted by Harrison, Walker, and Harper to erect this massive 2.6 million Sq Ft structure, which is now the largest building under one roof in the Davenport area. The site is comprised of four pre-engineered structures that serve different processes such as manufacturing, work-in-process, and warehouse storage. Each of the three warehouse buildings are approximately 650,000 square feet and run more than a 1/4 mile long; enough to store 120,000,000 of the average 12” x 20” storage bins per building, or 360,000,000 bins overall.
