The McKay Dee Ambulatory Surgical Center & Orthopedic Center is a new three-story, 80,950 SqFt facility to provide for the growing demands of the Ogden community. The scope included six OR’s, two therapy pools, an MRI room, a CT room, pre/post-op and recovery areas, and extensive physical therapy spaces. Sure Steel was contracted by Okland Construction to provide a turnkey, supply and erect scope for the structural steel on the three-story structure. This project utilized the proprietary SidePlate® Moment Frame system that helps keep the building weight down by shifting the forces to the column connections. Sure Steel worked over 8,000 man hours on this project without a lost-time incident, adding to the long list of projects that Sure Steel has completed without injuries.
