Dedicated in 2008, the Rexburg, Idaho temple became the 3rd Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Idaho, and the 125th operating temple worldwide. Braced by a steel frame, the 57,500 SqFf temple displays a beautiful precast exterior. Sure Steel was contracted by Jacobsen Construction to provide design-assist services for the structural steel package. Sure Steel was involved early on in the project by providing budget numbers and design assist recommendations to optimize costs as it related to steel fabrication and erection. This involvement allowed the project to be within budget and helped facilitate a timely erection schedule. Sure Steel supplied and installed the 600 tons of steel within the project schedule, battling the harsh Rexburg winter, all while maintaining the highest level of quality that the Church expects and requires on their projects.
